Day 14 - 4,574'.

By far the best treadmill run I've ever had. Uphill fartlek all at 12%. 2 x 45 minutes with a 15 minute break between. A total of 7.22 miles in 90 minutes. All I did was increase the speed whenever I'd get excited with the match, then slow it down when I was about to fall off the back. The math works out to be a climb of 4,574'. I was fully prepared and almost anxious to go the extra 30 minutes, but my boys in Orange knocked in a header to secure a spot in the semi's!
Glad to get this vertical in today as I'll be spending the next 3 days on the beach. It will be difficult to get in any vertical there, but I might find a hotel with an outdoor stairwell. Hoping for 10 stories and 10 trips up. If I can get in 2,000' this weekend I'll be happy, we'll see though.
28,337' up, 121,663' to go.
If these number don't change through Monday, day 17, I'll still be well above my 1,500'/day average.

  1. Would not want to be on that flight home to Brazil.

  2. Especially if any of the Brazillain drug lords had anything invested in Brazil winning it all.

  3. Nice to see Holland get it done. Doesn't surprise me. The Germans and Dutch can hang with those elite skilled S.American teams for sure.

Did you see Muntari's goal v. Uruguay? 35+ feet. Very legit. But URU has tied.

Would love to see Africa represent in the semis.

Nice treadmill run. As for the beach, do some water running! And beer quaffing.

    Have a good one.

  4. Sad, sad, sad for Ghana. Damn! I wanted them in the semi's.
I will definately get some water/beach runs in this weekend. Won't it bee too hot for beer though? ;-)
