Mad A (aka Adam Hill) has been asking me to do one of his favorite runs with him for a little while now. Just happened to work very well today for my good friend Joe to join us as well. Joe is visiting from Idaho Falls. In words this run isn't much different than most that I do - a nice steep climb, then head back down. Except, steep on this run is a little different than steep on my usual runs, and at the summit a newbie must climb the chimney.
Adam's thoughts on what's ahead...
Joe insists on running here.Adam's got some skills.
Pickin' my line.
The goat on his rock.
Looking at the chimney from here - pretending Adam isn't taking a photo of me.
Adam points at the scar we'll descend.
I asked for a spotter going up and down the chimney.
The newbie.
Brilliant work you beast. Checkout the only comment on mud swaet and tears most recent post. Pints as part of the race. We should organize such a feast.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
That's a great comment over there! It wasn't until the end that I realized that the point was to drink as much at the 5 pubs as possible within the allotted time, and not just drink a pint at each pub and be on your way. I like your idea. I'm thinking a 10k with a 2 hour time limit with 4-5 pubs to hit. Maybe the "Pub and Fell 10k" ??
ReplyDeleteYeah. Not sure you can require the drink as much as you can part. Maybe 2 pints per pub. You'd have to train for that :)
ReplyDeleteYea, I started training yesterday.
